How Plex Fixed Assets maps to D365 Fixed assets (books, depreciation profiles, disposal and the acquisition-cost migration), and how Plex APM's IIoT condition monitoring maps — or does not map — to D365 Asset management. The two asset registers serve different purposes and must not be conflated.
Plex addresses assets in two distinct ways. Plex Fixed Assets (part of Plex ERP's Financial Management) maintains the financial register: asset acquisition, classification, depreciation schedules, revaluation and disposal.
Plex ERP's Financial Management page confirms fixed-asset management capability: asset tracking, depreciation and integration with the general ledger. Specific schema detail — asset-group taxonomy, depreciation-method variants, multi-book support — is not published publicly.

D365 Asset management is a separate module from Fixed assets. It manages the operational lifecycle of physical equipment:
Plex APM (separately licensed) provides IIoT condition monitoring, predictive analytics and machine-health dashboards. It sits in the Rockwell Automation ecosystem alongside FactoryTalk and Fiix (both explicitly out of scope for this adapter).
A single piece of equipment may exist in both D365 Fixed assets (for depreciation) and D365 Asset management (for maintenance). The link is established through the fixed-asset number on the Asset management asset record.
Plex addresses assets as a blended financial-and-operational concern. D365 separates them architecturally: Fixed assets for depreciation and the balance sheet; Asset management for maintenance scheduling and execution. The financial migration is a structured subledger load with GL reconciliation.
